I recently re tiled my pool. After I started the pool pump I realized that I did not prime the pump. There are bubbles coming out of it and it is working, but not fully it has a weak suction. I would rather it do it myself then pay 600 dollars I don't have please help!
air bubles does not mean its your pump not working right – air is getting into the system somewhere which is a different problem. look for water leaks around the pump connections, and any other connections around the hoses near your filter system. also, double check to make sure you have enough water filled in the pool to the skimmer, etc. look for anywhere air could be getting in. you can also try backwashing your system for a few minutes, then using the "rinse" cycles for a minute if you have that, then back to "filter" setting. this could help expel any air in the filter system. but again, this is a closed system, and even a faulty pump should not be getting any air in unless there is a leak somewhere.
If none of the above works, then I would disconnect the pump and take it apart on a work bench. its the only way to inspect the inside. maybe you'll see something obvious, like a damaged impeller blade or blown out rubber diaphram. but again, i can't see how you wouldn't see water leaking somewhere if this was the case.
your pump probably overheated and the PVC plumbing shrunk from the heat morev pool pump tips here: swimming-pool-information.com…

I have a solar pool cover and was wondering if anyone knows how well they work?
I had one that looked like bubble wrap and it worked fine. The "bubbles" magnified the suns rays and help heat it faster.
They are good for keeping heat in but damn expensive to replace and dont have a long pool life if your chemicals are out of balance.
Basically they are meant to cut down on heating costs and evaporation but also have the added benefit of repelling some of the suns rays from burning out your chlorine levels. You usually wont get more then a few years out of them before they fall apart and if you have a large pool you can expect to pay around 300 or more for a new one.
But all in all id recommend having them as ive seen the difference in uncovered vs covered and the savings would be substantial over time to your water bill and your heating bill. If you really want to save money buy a new HE furnace for the pool heating they are a lil expensive but in the long run they can do a lot more these days then the gas suckers of old.

I am looking for the simple plastic nose clips that the kids use in the swimming pool for sale in a bulk quantity.
sz-wholesale.com/p/swim-earpl…
Just inquire, I'm sure they'll make a nice deal with you!
just blow bubbles out of your nose. then when you come up for air, breath through your mouth.
Where to buy swimming nose clips in bulk or wholesale?
